Bought this on a whim because I was curious to see if this performed better than a traditional dry shampoo, but I'm sad to report that this isn't good. I love the smell of it, but my god, it feels like you're applying greasy sand to your hair. Eventually the greasy feeling dries up, but your hair still looks dirty. I will say that it does provide great volume, but the overall effect of it is a dud. Also, my biggest qualm with this product is that it leaves a dandruff like residue behind, and your scalp just ends up looking crusty. By the next day, once its fully dry, this product feels like you have gum stuck on your scalp. Also, I felt like I kept breathing in the sandy particles....
Thanks for sharing your experience! When using Badlands, we recommend fully working the product through the fingertips until it emulsifies into a clear liquid before applying it to the hair. This should resolve any flaky build-up or sandy feeling in the hair. We hope this helps!

This dry shampoo is easy to use, extends my non-wash days, you can travel easily with this small container, and reduces planetary Impact since it’s non-aerosol. Love this product!
Not as good as sand castle, but since sand castle is discontinued, this is 2nd best! Gives a little grit to your hair to make it workable and have volume.
