Garren Creates Rocker-Chic Hairstyles for Anna Sui’s SS 2025 Lookbook Using R+Co BLEU Products

Renowned celebrity hairstylist and R+Co co-founder, Garren (@garrennewyork, once again brought his signature creativity to craft unique, avant-garde hair looks for the Anna Sui Spring/Summer 2025 Lookbook. Using a range of R+Co BLEU products, Garren mixed modern textures with classic shapes, resulting in hair that was a bold contrast to the soft, demure tones of Anna Sui’s clothing line.

“This look is very cute, very Anna. She wanted it to be kind of ‘rocker,’ the way guys used to wear their hair, rolled forward," Garren explained. "The clothes are very demure with delicate patterns, soft colors, lace, and beautiful prints. The beauty look is a contradiction to the clothes – the makeup is avant-garde, and the hair is twisted onto the forehead. It’s a very cool look.”

To create these stunning looks, Garren relied on three brand-new R+Co BLEU formulas, including the highly-anticipated Ultra Dry Texture Spray—a new hero product delivering high-impact texture, shine, and volume.

Here’s a breakdown of how to recreate the looks:

Look 1: Blonde with Rocker Quiff

1. Prep the Hair: Start by spraying the NEW R+Co BLEU F-Layer Detangling Mist throughout the hair for easy combing. Apply the Root Booster Volume Spray to the front triangle section for extra lift. On the sides and back, use Essential Hair Tonic to smooth and prep.

2. Blow-Dry: Loosely blow out the hair to add texture and volume, without over-smoothing it.

3. Create the Quiff: Section the top and back of the hair, then brush it forward. Roll the hair over your hand, dip it onto the forehead, and secure it with bobby pins to form a rocker-style quiff.

4. Finish with Hairspray: Lock the quiff in place with Cult Classic Flexible Hairspray. For the remaining hair in the back, comb through and leave it natural to maintain the effortless vibe.

Look 2: Brunette with Loose Waves and Twisted Knot

1. Air-Dry: Allow hair to air dry until it’s 50-80% dry. Then, section the hair at the top in a triangle shape.

2. Apply Products: For the sides and back, smooth in Essential Hair Tonic. Divide the hair down the middle and braid loosely from just below the ears.

3. Boost Volume: For the top section, apply Root Booster Volume Spray and more of the Essential Hair Tonic. Use a blow dryer to rough-dry the hair, maintaining texture.

4. Add Texture with Velcro Rollers: Roll the front hair section back with two small velcro rollers to create volume and texture at the roots.

5. Diffuse and Enhance Waves: Diffuse the entire head, including the braids and rolled sections, until completely dry. Once dry, take out the braids and add Optical Illusion Smoothing Oil to enhance the natural waves and separate the hair.

6. Create the Knot: Back-comb the front/top section using a Mason Pearson brush, then spray in the Ultra Dry Texture Spray for added lift and definition. Wrap the top section around your hand, loop it into a figure-8 shape on the forehead, and secure it with bobby pins.

7. Light Hold: To finish, lightly spray Featherlight Hairspray on the knot for a gentle, touchable hold that keeps the look intact.
