I ordered the Dallas Thickening Spray to try. I love it. It does exactly what I hoped it would do.
This is not my favorite volume product. It definitely works to give you the volume at the crown. For me, it leaves the hair with a heavy texture that requires Spiritualized or a shampoo the next day on layers around the face. My hair is not soft or brush-able with this product. I prefer Balloon although it doesn’t give the same amount of volume as the Dallas thickening spray.

We're glad to hear that the product is delivering the volume at the crown that you're looking for — that's exactly what we designed it to do! We totally understand though that the heavier texture it creates isn't your preference, especially when it requires extra cleansing the next day to get your hair feeling soft and brush-able again, particularly around the face.
It's really helpful to know that while DALLAS gives you more volume compared to BALLOON, the trade-off in texture and feel isn't working as well for your hair's needs. I think all the RandCo products are great, so what they say they can do and smell great. The thickening spray also adds some hold and body, which I love.
