Get the Look Caught

Inspired by the late-great Andy Warhol and the scene he created at his studio, The Factory—groundbreaking parties featuring nightlife royalty—editorial stylist Sienree transformed six fashion figures into colorful party kids for the Schön! Magazine August online exclusive. Captured in a Polariod-series style, Sienree made sure that each look was wildly different, but strung together by ’70s nostalgia. “I used a variety of R+Co products to create some of my favorite looks of the project,” said Sienree.

Get the Look (from left to right):

For Alex’s ’70s-inspired flip:

  1. Prep damp hair with PARK AVE Blowout Balm.
  2. Blow-dry hair away from the face using a medium-size round brush. Use the brush to create the flip at the ends.
  3. Finish with CONFORMIST Hair Paste for separation and texture.

For Annie’s short and sweet style:

  1. Use ONE Prep Spray to dampen hair and revitalize curls.
  2. Evenly saturate with TWISTER Curl Primer.
  3. Using a comb and fingers, wave the curls into desired formation and air dry to set.
  4. Once dry, finish with a light mist of TINSEL Smoothing Oil

For Elle’s sultry curls:

  1. Prep the hair with OUTER SPACE Flexible Hairspray.
  2. Starting at the nape and working to the crown, use a ¾-inch curling iron to curl one-inch sections away from the face. Make sure that each curl is going in the same direction.
  3. Once curled, use a boar-bristle paddle brush to gently brush out the curls. Back comb the base of each section with a wide-tooth comb.
  4. Set and finish with VICIOUS Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray.

For Jay’s sculpted shape:

  1. Evenly saturate damp hair with MOTORCYCLE Flexible Gel.
  2. Use a fine-tooth comb to create a side part and comb the hair back for a clean look.
  3. Once hair is sculpted to the desired shape, lightly apply white and peach grease paint with a small-tooth comb, making sure not to disturb the shape.
  4. Set and finish with VICIOUS Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray.

For Kurt’s lived-in rocker locks:

  1. Prep by liberally spraying ROCKAWAY Salt Spray from roots to ends.
  2. Using your hands, scrunch the hair up to create a slight bend and revitalize the natural curl.
  3. Emulsify JACKPOT Styling Crème in hands and continue scrunching the hair for maximum texture until the product soaks in and sets.
  4. Apply MANNEQUIN Styling Paste to create separation.
  5. Finish with a light mist of TINSEL Smoothing Oil.

For Kota’s textured creation:

  1. Create six ponytails and use CONTINENTAL Glossing Wax to control flyaways.
  2. Once the ponytails are secure, attach synthetic braiding hair onto each ponytail to achieve odd shapes with maximum texture without destroying the natural hair.
  3. Apply MANNEQUIN Styling Paste to mold the hair. Secure with multiple small, clear rubber bands to secure the shape.
